Martinborough Vineyard Te Tera Pinot Noir shows attractive ripe cherry fruits with savoury complexity in aroma. Fine tannins and supple oak complement the fruit, giving texture and length to the palate. An elegant Pinot Noir which is approachable in style, and while enjoyable now, it will develop further complexity if you wish to cellar it.

Vineyard
The fruit is taken from a selection of our 10 clones of Pinot Noir including the finest new clones from Burgundy.
Production has stayed small and vineyards are intensively tended by hand with much care taken to provide balance and to achieve the best flavour, colour and tannin structure.

Winemaking
The fruit is hand sorted, hand harvested and is exclusively Martinborough. Gentle treatment in the winery is important, and the clones are vinted in small, separate tanks to preseve the character of each lot.

Indigenous yeasts are used which add to this complexity in addition to traditional methods of punching down the ferments by hand. The wine is then drained off the skins to the finest quality French oak barriques for 11 months.

13.5% alcohol
