Astrolabe is one of the Bay's icon restaurants and bars and a truly destination reference for tourists. With its award winning food, modern style and great service it has become the standard by which others aspire to.

Since opening in 1995 Astrolabe has set and led the local market; with 25 other restaurants/cafes/ bars opening.

This development has provided the Mount with the required entertainment infrastructure to attract tourists.

The size and layout of Astrolabe with several distinct but interrelated areas (bar, caf, courtyard, formal dining) gives a range of possible options for clients depending on their mood, the time of day or the weather.

Popular for brunch/lunch, casual drinks or more serious dining, Astrolabe offers great value to a wide cross section of the public. The decor is very modern European and the service is casual but very efficient.

The style of food is described as modern Pacific Rim with use of local produce and seafood.
